i looked at Adam Haynes to gain some inspiration and ideas for my final project, i really like his car designs and the bright colours he uses against darker colours. i think his work is really playful and adventurous.

Jo Bird.
i decided to lookat Jo Bird becuase i found her work really unique and vibrant. it really stood out to me when i was researching in the library. i like the way she creates really messy line drawings and then fills them in with such bright block colours, she adds such detail to her drawings aswell and has some really great ideas.
Life Drawing.
both of these were done using ink and a paper towel letting the ink run to create a better effect the one on the left i also added black ink using a stick and also a wax crayon to add layers, the one on the right is one of my favourite pieces from the whole life drawing ABC.
Leeds Royal Armouries.
We visited The Royal Armouries in Leeds I found this trip really interesting which suprised me a lit because it's never been something ive been interested in, but it was totally mind blowing all the different types of swords and armour and were it was used and why, the animal armour was immense and so beautiful its so crazy how they can mane something that's ment to protect you look so good. The Menpo (face mask) from the Japanese section was by far my favourite they were all so different and really scary looking I thought it was clever how they did that as if to scare away there opponent, there main use was to secure the helmet to the head but also to protect there face from the nose down, all of the Japanese armour was very impressive and very beautiful to look at.
Grayson Perry exhibition
On our recent trip to London I visited the Grayson Perry exhibition: the tomb of the unknown craftsman at the British Museum, I found it really interesting, reading how he explained his work was probably the most interesting park of it and some of his explanations were rather humorous, the Coffin ship was my favourite it had such detail and was just amazing! The bike that he actually took the pilgrimage on was also great very colourful and over the top. I didn't like the way he had other/older work in his exibition because I'd rather of just looked at his work, but all in all I really enjoyed his exibition and will return to one he does in the future.
Gerhard Richter exhibition
On the 1st of December we visited London on a college trip, when we arrived in London we could go our separate ways, I had really started to enjoy Gerhard Richters style of work, so we decided to go see his exabition at the Tate Modern, I couldn't beleive how amazing his work actually was, when you look at it in real life you can really see all the textures and the marks that the sweegee actually made it was just amazing! He must of gone over and over and over it many times and some works must have taken him a very long time to complete, his more traditional painting was amazing too I found the one of his father and the dog very emotional as he was aiming to paint his father as a pathetic figure. His colour and grey work was also interesting the one with 1024 differen colours on was amazing he had only started with the primary colours and grey! And had them made 1024 colours from that and repeated each 4 times you can just see from looking at it how much time he must of put into it. Overall it was an amazing experience very glad I went to view i.
