Gerhard Richter exhibition

On the 1st of December we visited London on a college trip, when we arrived in London we could go our separate ways, I had really started to enjoy Gerhard Richters style of work, so we decided to go see his exabition at the Tate Modern, I couldn't beleive how amazing his work actually was, when you look at it in real life you can really see all the textures and the marks that the sweegee actually made it was just amazing! He must of gone over and over and over it many times and some works must have taken him a very long time to complete, his more traditional painting was amazing too I found the one of his father and the dog very emotional as he was aiming to paint his father as a pathetic figure. His colour and grey work was also interesting the one with 1024 differen colours on was amazing he had only started with the primary colours and grey! And had them made 1024 colours from that and repeated each 4 times you can just see from looking at it how much time he must of put into it. Overall it was an amazing experience very glad I went to view i.
